Decatur – Peggy E. Taylor, 71, of Decatur passed away at 12:35 a.m. October 29, 2010 in her daughter’s residence.

 

A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday November 1, 2010 at the Barnett Cemetery in Decatur.  Friends will gather for visitation prior to services from 12:00 Noon till 1:30 p.m. at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. The family would suggest casual attire for her services.   Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Charitable Foundation. Messages of condolence may be sent to the family at www.dawson-wikoff.com.

 

Peggy was born September 27, 1939 in Sullivan, IL the daughter of Gerald and Dorothy (Blancett) Luttrell.  She married Phillip Nolan Taylor on November 12, 1957.  He preceded her in death on August 24, 2005.

 

Peggy owned and operated along with her husband Wicks & Gifts.  She also co-owned Grandma’s Attic along with her son.  She enjoyed bowling, traveling, making crafts and especially spending time with her granddaughters.

 

Surviving are her children: Steve Taylor of Decatur and Sherry Bolin and her husband Steve of Decatur; granddaughters: Jessica and Ashley Bolin of Decatur; brothers: Tom Luttrell and his wife Norma of Ramey, Jim Luttrell and his wife Rayleen of Oakley and Robert Luttrell of Florida.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother: Roger and sister: Carolyn Goad.

 

The family would like to thank Dr. Benjamin Esparez and the nurses of St. John’s Hospice for all their care and compassion.
